Apostil
According to general regulations of laws of most countries and international rules to declare the documents authentic it is necessary to authenticate and legalize them.
The easiest way to do it is to authenticate a document with a signature of an official or with a seal of the organization which had given the document. To make it more official or to avoid different disputes between the participants of an agreement it is desirable to authenticate the given documents officially.
The first level is notary authentication. That is usually enough to use the documents within the county. Procedure of confirmation of the fact that documents are originals is determined by international legislation.
Apostil is enclosed to official documents, given on the territory of Ukraine and must be produced on the territory of one of the countries-participants of Hague Convention of 1961. Apostil certifies that signatures, positions of people who signed the document, the seal and the die the document is sealed with are original.
Signature, the seal and the die put on apostil do not need further authentication or legalization and the document the apostil is enclosed to can be used in any countries-participants of Hague Convention. In respect of such documents only their translation authenticated by a notary can be demanded.
